FAQ

A bike deserves better than a nail in the wall

I started Palkdot because I couldn't find a bike mount I wanted in my own living room. Most options were plastic hooks or bulky garage brackets, so I made one from wood.

Palkdot is a one-person workshop in Poland. I cut, sand and finish each mount by hand, then pack and ship it myself.

Why Palkdot

A good bike can be part of the room rather than something stored behind a door. Palkdot mounts are designed to hold it securely without making your home look like a garage. The design is simple, with no plastic parts or unnecessary details.

Wall mounts

The original Palkdot wall mount holds the bike by its frame. It works with road, city, hybrid and mountain bikes with handlebars up to 70 cm wide. The maximum bike weight is 20 kg.

It is available in four finishes:

Natural: solid wood with a natural grain.
Black: the same wooden mount with a dark stain.
Wood: beech with a deeper, smoky finish.
Chrome: chrome-plated steel with a more industrial look.

Installation takes around 10 minutes. Full instructions are included. You will need a drill, a spirit level and a Torx key.

VOID freestanding bike stand

VOID is a freestanding option for renters, concrete walls or anyone who prefers not to drill. Its transparent acrylic body keeps the focus on the bike. The solid base is available in chrome steel, natural beech, dark beech or black.

VOID holds the bike by the tyre. The official supported tyre width is 25–50 mm, which covers most road and gravel bikes and many mountain bikes. Tyres up to about 54 mm will usually fit, but this range has not been officially tested. The base is 40 cm wide.

Wall mount or VOID?

Choose the wall mount if saving floor space is the priority and drilling is not a problem. It supports more weight and a wider range of bikes. Choose VOID if you rent, have a difficult wall or want a freestanding display.
